Idiyappam is one of the staple food in South India, especially in Tamilnadu. It’s a healthy breakfast to start a day. It’s not a big deal to prepare this delicious food, just steam cook the Idiyappam rice flour and serve it with either kurma or coconut milk.
Soft and light for the tummy! Idiyappam is almost instant now, buy the rice flour and make Idiappam whenever you love to taste it.
Tips for making Idiyappam:
Take the required grams of rice flour and mix with water until you get a soft dough consistency.
If the dough is too dry, then steam-cooked idiyappam strings would be hard. On contrary, if it’s too watery, the strings would be sticking with each other.
First, bring the water to a steamer or pressure cooker to boil. Then place the idiyappam plates and steam cook for 3-4 mins.
Now it’s ready to serve. You can also serve it with Chicken Stew.
