Kozhukattais are a traditional food specially made during Ganesh Chathurthi. Known as Modhak in North India and kozhukattai in South India. Now you can quickly prepare kozhukatai by using this flour, just mix the rice flour with water to make a dough. Then seperate the big dough into small round balls filled with coconut and jaggery mixture. Steam the prepared kozhukattais in an idly steamer and serve hot as a sweet. The filling can be made with Chana dal and jaggery as well.
How to Prepare
Take the required grams of Kozhukattai flour
Dry roast the flour for 2 minutes.
Remove in a plate and cool down.
Mix the flour with water and make a dough
Dough should be non-sticky and smooth without cracks to make perfect kozhukattai.
Place the stuffing/pooranam inside the kozhukattai dough
Delicious kozhukattai flour is ready now.
